MySQL Databases

MYSQL is a common database format preferred by many programmers, particularly in Linux hosting environments.

Database limits are imposed to ensure the server can handle the amount of stress volumes of database connections can put on it. A popular, database-driven site can sometimes create server load issues. While data transfer numbers may not reflect excessive use, hundreds or thousands of connections to one or more databases is typically considered excessive in a shared hosting environment, in which case a small dedicated server might be the best hosting environment for that particular site.
